Rigging
Standing rigging should be replaced every nine to ten years, and requires expertise and experience to do it right.
To unstep masts, we use our mobile crane accommodating lengths to 70 feet (and sometimes longer). If determined that mast rigging replacement is necessary, we remove the mast from the boat and set it up on our mast slab where the old rigging is removed for replacement. Once your mast is on the ground, we perform a thorough check for cracks, paint failure and 12v electrical issues. If your mast needs painting, we remove the mast fittings and strip, prep and prime. Next, our team will apply new linear polyurethane paint giving an old mast a new shine. We then rewire the mast’s 12v system, upgrade light fixtures to LED, install wind instrumentation systems, and service your mast's hardware such as winches, blocks, and spinnaker pole tracks/cars.

Painting
From routine anti-fouling paint to a complete hull restoration, we do it all.
Once your vessel has been blocked on land, we sand the bottom using sanding machines attached to vacuum equipment to contain the dust and protect the environment. The bottom is then tacked-off and painted either by roller application or, for the racing fraternity who prefer a baby-smooth finish, we use spray painting equipment. The paint is allowed to dry before moving the boat stand supports so we can prep and paint these areas prior to launching, which usually takes place the next day. We clean the shaft and prop and replace the sacrificial anodes, as well. Refreshing of underwater metals and sacrificial anodes are not included in initial haul & launch bottom paint estimates. Regardless of material, manufacturer or design, our caliber repair and finishing team is ready to take on your project.
Bringing your bright work, gel coat, paint, or other finishes to a brand new state is our specialty. We offer buffing and waxing, polishing, wet or dry sanding, detailing, prepping, and painting. Whatever your finish, and whatever the material, the end result will shine. For repair and restoration caused by running aground, a collision, water leaks, or other untoward events, you’ll receive the attention and expertise you deserve. Whether it's a rigging issue, need help with balsa-core or high density foam construction, metal or wood, your boat will be repaired with the required process. This may involve grinding, re-laminating, cutting and removing, and then rebuilding or replacing the affected area with the appropriate materials and procedures. If you need custom parts fabricated, we have fully equipped machine and wood shops. Our relationships with part suppliers (some hard to find) stretch across the country. We can help locate necessary replacements to manage your particular situation.

If you’re hauling for regular maintenance or a bottom job, we'll work to have your vessel back on the water as soon as possible.
When it's time to come out of the water, our crew is on standby to tackle your project. What may seem like a huge problem to you is probably something we’ve faced before so rest assured we will take care of your boat. Once you’re hauled, we check the condition of your through-hulls, bottom paint, hull fittings, rudders, propellers, shafts, and cutlass bearings for signs of wear and galvanic corrosion. If any of these items need repair or replacement, one of our project managers will walk you through the process and likely estimate of repair.
